When :Friday May 29th-31st 2015
Where: Gordon Bay Provincial Park B.C. (On Lake Cowichan)
The Victoria Volkswagen Club is doing another camping trip similar to last years trip. We will meet at the shell gas station just south of Goldstream park (turn left at the lights before Ice Cream Mountain - 2890 W Shore Pkwy) at 6pm Friday May 29th and cruise up the Gordon Bay. But obviously if your coming from further North just meet us southerners at Gordon Bay. Everyone wanting to camp will have to book their own sit through the BC Parks website ( www.env.gov.bc.ca/bcparks/explore/parkpgs/gordon_bay/ ). The Club will reimburse half the campsite fee (camping is 35 a night so, $17.50 a night will be reimbursed at the camping trip).. Your on your own for food/camping facilities. PLEASE POST ON THE VVWC FORUMS YOU ARE COMING AND WHAT SITE YOU HAVE BOOKED SO WE KNOW WHO IS COMING. So we know how many sites were reimbursing.

Hey guys, it's a paved campsite, all the way there. Might be a good time and actually get your buses out to be used like the are suppose to be used
I work Fri and Saturday, but am thinking of heading down Sat nite ...
Anyone else interested??

Maybe, work dependent. The bus should be up and running again before then. Oh, and I don't need to worry about uneven roads anymore.....

The bus is still in pieces. Work and kids seem to be getting in the way a bit right now - I haven't touched it in around 10 days. To top it off some of my tools have disappeared - my daughter likes to borrow shiny things for her "castle" in the trees at the side of the house. My balljoint breaker is missing and I need to replace the track rod ends... It could also be in amongst the construction stuff in the corner from the bathroom reno' I'm also working on.
I want to make sure my bus is in one piece before I book anything.

Doesn't look like I'll make it. My left arm is screwed up, so I doubt that I would be able to shift the gears in the bus right now, even if the engine was in it.

Seems Rob can't make the campout and his spot is paid for if anyone wants or decided they'd like to join me.
Russ? Does Victor want to camp? It's just for Saturday night, as I reserved only one as I work Saturday.
If anyone would like to take there bus down for an overnight excursion to the VVWC Spring Campout, either reply or pm me. You can head down anytime Saturday, but I won't be there till later.
Any takers?
