Just thought I would put this out there... I have several of my VWs insured with Hagerty, which is a company that advertises heavily in all car magazines. They provide specialty insurance for classic cars, bikes, etc. as well as hot rods and any speciality type vehicle. I still have basic ICBC coverage like everyone else; the Hagerty provides agreed replacement value and your premium is calculated accordingly. Two of my VW's are both campervans, which is very obvious in the pictures sent to Hagerty, and they were both approved.
I received a private message from one of the users on this site who intended on insuring his restored Westfalia with Hagerty. He was denied, and the insurance agent said they will not insure if you are actually going to camp in it! This is quite pathetic from a company that bills itself as a specialty provider! When I was approved the question of camping was certainly NOT asked. This needs some more investigating for sure, but I am definitely not impressed if that is Hagerty's attitude. What next? "We are sorry sir, but we can't pay out your claim on your totaled classic car because you chose to actually DRIVE it! What were you thinking???"

Good info. Thanks for taking the time to post the note. The only time I ever take pictures of my bus is during camping trips. That would likely be the the picture I would have sent without thinking about it.
