Hi everyone.
I've been a classic Mustang guy for years....don't stop reading now.. I still have my '65 but also fell in love with the dune buggy crazy of the same era. I came across a beat up old mid '60's fiberglass "Manx style" buggy a number of years ago. I've now spent over 5 years researching and rebuilding it, but as I don't have a lot of VW knowledge, I've bought a lot of books, surfed a lot of websites, and have been asking a lot of favours to get it where it is. A friend and fellow member of this club invited me to join your group and network with the people who know and love these old air cooled aliens. I'm still working out bugs (no pun intended) so expect questions.. I'm excited to meet you all. Scott

Awesome buggy! Stoked to meet you Scott. I don't may answers, but if you want to compare questions, feel free to contact me anytime! Don't be afraid to kick off a thread about your journey with your buggy. I'm sure we are all looking forward to getting to know it (and you). We'll see you at the club get together in a few weeks.
All the best! Byron

Hi again.
I haven't quite figured out where to ask new questions on the site yet so I'll continue with this thread. I've had a few people convince me to bring my buggy to the Rona show on Sunday. I hope they don't mind a couple oil drops in their parking lot ( I haven't got to those yet). Show starts at 10, what time do the cars generally start showing up to get set up? Looking forward to it. Scott

Hey Scott, Good a place as any to ask a question VWs don't leak oil…they mark their spot! If you can figure out how to make them stop leaking, tell the rest of us The Cruise-In is pretty casual, but I think a few of us will start ferrying cars there fairly early (9-ish) if we have multiple cars or things to set up for display. Scroll down to the "Shows Past and Upcoming" section and you will find this thread: miacvw.proboards.com/thread/455/miacvolkswagens-cruise?page=4Might be of some help. If you ever have a question that you need to know the answer right away on, feel free to PM me and I will do my best to answer or put you in touch with those in the know. It'll be great to see you there! Cheers, Don
