2 cents....it would have to be overhead cam as there isnt much room for a cam in block and still have a big enough wheel for acceptable stroke,so much for less moving parts. i seem to remember grumpy jenkins say that 75% of friction in a piston engine is the rings on the cylinder and the rest is in the valve train so a 50% reduction? certainly lots to like however! probably would rev like a demon.be a snap to balance,effective modular design, easier on the piston(thrust)less heat etc. been wondering what it would sound like? not being a flat plane or a cross plane crank, its sorta like if a type 1 motor mated with a mazda rotary.

If you read the comments under the video, some people think this just might work, others are adamant it will not. I ain't no engineer, so I don't have much of a comment about how long it may or may not last. I would assume that this thing might have some vibrations being a non-boxer design. It is quite an interesting idea, and wonder how well it will run when the prototype gets built. At least give the guy some credit for trying something different then the usual internal combustion design...
