Ok here comes a crapload of pictures....
On the way down to Vic...
Rear view...
Sean's nice '62
OOOh! Whitewalls......
Pastel vert. Frank would approve!
Another original '62 from up island.
Jerry's patina ride.
Shiny stock Beetles
Fuchs on ragtop Beetle
This '67 had probably the best paint at the show, with amazing detailing.
Much more to come....
More photos...
This '65 was yours for $10,500.
Don loved the big knobby tires on this oval.
Ain't a VW but who doesn't like 356's?
Empi Sportster was pretty neat.
This yellow Ghia's owner was an older gentlemen whose VW was restored by his son for him. Lucky guy, it was very nice.
CrazyBrit's Ghia looking good.
Reagh's shorty bus was once featured in Vw Trends many years ago. And yes it will pop wheelies.
HightopRob's Westfalia tent was admired throughout the day. Smelled like the 70's in a good way!
This '77 Westfalia was nice and won it's class.
Jacob's splitty bus joined us on the cruise down from Nanaimo
Goldberg's Westy tin-top was lookin nice.
Yet more to follow...
Don's well preserved Riviera camper in his favourite Neptune Blue. Nice Rack
Lots of people liked this rusty bus that was repaired by riveting the panels together aircraft style. The VW symbol on the front was interesting(VW Cog).
Lots and lots of Bays.
No shortage of splitties either.
Harley's split Dormobile roofed camper with a Westy interior was very nice.
1958 Kombi
This bus was a bit "ratty"
Still more to come...
Some more...
Pat's 1955 Deluxe made the trip.
Splitty in the parking lot.
Type 3 Karmann Ghia. Also known as "Razor-edge", these cars always look better in person than they do in pictures.
And now for some waterpumpers. How about this retro early Scirocco.
Here is a Mk 2 Scirocco.
Lots of Mk 2's
Should I lower my GTI? Looks good but not for me!
Interesting rims on what is now a rare car.
Victoria Steve has decided to sell his oval project. Said to run it was yours for $3500
Later in the day Lucy and Goldberg where tired of checking out VW's and were content to bug Brent.
A younger Lucy.
The end. With 130 cars registered, this was the best turn out ever!
