Today was the annual Father's day show held in downtown Qualicum. Numbers were intentionally lower this year with @ 550 cars in attendence. Don, Brian, and Victor in front of my '64 Ghia. Don in front of his '85 Bombardier Iltis This 1959 Beetle was done almost 20 years ago by a high school kid Engine compartment of the '59 A ratty '62. Nice duct tape seats Another '62. Remember the Hawaiian Look window rubbers? Has the old Rossi lights too. This was a very nice original 1962 Beetle Not a VW, but a cool 1965 Impala wagon Rare Pontiac Safari wagon. 1958 Chevrolet Impala. Interior of above car. Liked this big Dodge copmobile. This 1928 Pontiac was not exactly stock.... That is a genuine early industrial Hemi! How about an unrestored 1936 Mercedes Diesel?? It smelled like the 1930's inside too! MMM, free sluts! Another shot of my Ghia (Shameless plug) This could have been yours for $1200. Probably the ugliest hubcaps ever installed on a car... I liked it anyway.... Another pic of Don's Iltis, which I learned is German for "ferret"... or was it "weasel" Overall it was a good show, Terry was there manning his Canadian HotRods Magazine booth. (Terry isn't cool enough to own a VW). There were also cameo appearences by Mark(CrazyBrit) and Ron(vw newbie) from this website as well. Reagh of the former Funbugz was rumoured to be there too. There was also a 1955 Beetle with semaphores present but was unable to get a good picture.

Finishing up the last of the old show pictures. The first pic shows how much my kid has grown up in five years! Also Tony's Beetle is featured before he owned it. And some never seen before pics of this show are now here...

The Ghia would have got my vote in that show, closely followed by the 62.
