Hey, was at the show and shine in the valley and met a couple of guys from the forum, told me i should check it out. i've got a 72 volks beetle, gunna be restoring and making her pretty over the next few years. i am always willing to get advice and tips on good ways to fix and tune so if you guys got any im happy to listen.

rustybug61 and myself were the guys you talked with glad to see you found the site looks like clintz has a standard swingaxle no trim around the window ball joint front end beetle in very good shape marine blue we crawled around it before he showed up I meet another kid he must have been 9 or 10 he had a 66 beetle he and grandpa were restoring. A Marina Blue '72 Canadian Custom model. Cool. That is the same model, same colour that donated its transmission to my Ghia project.

Welcome blintz. I too met the young kid and his grampa. I believe grampa is the owner of CR Mazda. Their bug has been sitting at the CR airport under a ripped tarp for a few years. Sounds like they have big plans. New pans are on the way with some form of a full resto to follow.
