I already did. I'm working and can't get the day off. Grrrrrrr. I think my Dad might be joining you in my place though.

Excellent! I see it's open to Audis, so I assume it's open to DKWs

Looks like I'm going to be getting the day off after all! Hope to see everyone there! Quick question, do I have to pre-register to have my bus in the show? Or just show up before it starts?

Great news Claire! Traditionally the Nanaimo clan has just shown up. Russ got some posters delivered to Bavarian, maybe he has more info…. or check on vvwc.ca .

Fellas, I hope you all had a great time at the show. Not sure if Don shared the news but a dead battery and a tight schedule prevented me and my bus from making it. Huge bummer. Hope to see some photos!

There were lots of great cars and our trusty club photog, Volktales, was on it, but even for air cooled only it was a big task! I am very much looking forward to seeing his pics because it seems like I was talking with people all day long and not looking at all the cool vehicles! I did take a couple of pics… My favourite for a Bus with the off road flavour…raised suspension/dropped trans+motor and all, a 67 Splitty all the way from Colorado! It was the product of owner John, the proprietor of Kustom Coach Werks . Seemed like a nice unassuming guy from talking with him Lowered cradle Turned front king/link Original paint Arizona Yellow 1968 owned by the former owner of the Canadian Standard(?) Oval Window from the museum. Bought on eBay of all places, but he was very trepidatious doing so! Beautiful Sundial Camper conversion on such a nice Deluxe Bus! This 1970 Westy was bought by Cory's grandfather in Surrey back in 1970…probably was mere numbers away from the near identical one my parents bought in 1970….so yeah, I lusted after it Laurie drove the Shorty down, and Brian gladly accepted to offer to drive it back. Since they ran out of hot dogs both Russ and I hadn't eaten since the morning so a stop at Mill Bay A&W had to suffice. Russ' son takes forever to eat, so the vehicles were allowed to cool down…Mark you shoulda been there, LOL

Hope to see some photos! Yeah, it was a bummer you not being there Claire. Next year! I hope the new battery will solve the problem, otherwise, please get in touch. Russ will probably have more pics up early in the week. Maybe we'll all meet up at the GCVWS this year…I gotta post the dates as Silas from airspeedparts gave me a flyer….
