So there were water cooled VWs at the show too. There was no way I was going to take pictures of all of them so I delegated this to my 15 year old kid. These next shots are his choices for what appealed to him...
A clean looking Mk 2 GTI.
A Fahrenheit edition Mk 5.
A Mk 2 Sirocco.
A Mk 4 Golf.
This Mk 2 Golf is amazing. Has a VR5 swap with a ginormous turbo on the side. Owner built it himself and states it has close to 400 hp! Very nicely put together car that was done in what is called OEM+.
Now back to some more. Byron arrived a bit later in his '70 Westy. Nice it is, but I forgot to take a picture of the inside.
Another one of those Porsche things showed up, this time a nice orange Targa models. Hard to believe these were once considered second-rate Porsches to the "regular" 911s.
Missed a picture of this split on the way in.
Always liked this colour combo on this split.
Now for the parking lot cruise through. An old green panel was the first spotted.
This late Beetle was nicer then many in the show itself.
An old camper used as nature intended. Weird wheels.
This shiny late Ghia was for sale. Not many Ghias at the show this year.
This old bus has distinctive headlight rings and I have seen it around for years.
One for HighTopRob. A Syncro as well.
And last and least, a flat black Super with interesting green accents.
Anyway that is it with pictures for the 2016 Victoria Volksfest. Every air-cooled car was photographed, and if I somehow missed yours, then sorry about that. If this show keeps growing, then next year I may just have to take highlight pictures. Oh and to the organizers.... Buy more hotdogs!!!

Thanks for taking the time to put all this together! Much appreciated.
I was sorry to be late to the show, but glad I made it at all given how busy I am these days. That orange 911 (parked beside my bus) belongs to my bro, Bob. He had to decide if he would bring the Vanagon or the 911. I think he made the right choice.
Regarding the interior shots of my bus...I'll take a few and post them on my thread. I just had all the upholstery done and in my opinion it looks AWESOME!
SOOOO many great cars there. Sorry I missed visiting with a few of you. Got there late and needed to check out the rides before they left. Thanks again to the VVWC for another killer get together.
PEACE! Byron

Wonderful pics, Can't wait till Russ posts his so I'll ask now. I couldn't see one when I cruised around the park, and I don't see anything in your pics either. Did anyone see a genuine Baja bug (raised, front and rear shortened, etc.) Stan

Nope, didn't see one. I don't mean the red dune buggy. Stan Here's what I need to go geocaching in. 4 wheeling in a Corolla just doesn't cut it.
