if you had told me 10 years ago that I would be setting the timing on a acvw with a laptop, I would have thought you were nuttier than a squirrel turd. Attachments:

I was wondering where my bed side table went. Tuning that thing for the trip south? New goodies?

trying to keep up with the Jones. just finally wired in the cb black box,(from last year!LOL)still playing but so far, 2 big thumbs up. nice to have vacuum advance again! i cant think of any road going air cooled vw that didnt come with it. they all have stationary engine distributors in them now (009). having the extra timing at cruise allows me to lean it out at cruise for a cooler more fuel efficient tune. now the trick is to run lean of peak at cruise and rich of peak under load and id be happy. it now depends on if the dellortos will cooperate with jetting changes. i gotta get this right as it sees the big dyno (malahat) in a few short days.

I love my vacuum advance. Don't run those 009's in any of my engines...
