Ok, my computer is sucking as usual, but here we go again... We had a great cruise last night and a nice turnout as well... It was nice to see some "new" VW's out as well... First of all we met at the DQ and I walked right by Brent's bus at first and mentally noted it seemed shinier then usual... Wait a minute, it grew a pop top!!! Oh wait the tires looked suspiciously the same... Yes it seems Brent pulled the trigger and bought himself his dream bus. A green 1979 pop-top Westfalia with AUTOMATIC transmission! Very happy with it he seems too...
First off I would like to say I think this might be my favourite picture I ever took... Goldberg is very happy with his new bus.
This Beetle belongs to Josh and I think it is a 1968. Didn't get his friends name... Following his bug reminds me of how much I used to like driving my old '70 Beetle. I have got to get that Savannah Beige project underway...
Mr. Bus' Riviera looking nice as usual.
My own '66 Beetle. Since installing the new battery, it has been starting great and I have driven it to work many times this summer. This is my favourite driving VW of the ones I have. (My Ghia was the worst in case you are wondering...)
Josh's 1968 Beetle. Frank will love the CIP sticker on the back...
More to come…
And here they are(sorry Russ still can't figure out how to combine threads and forum circle won't answer my question ):
Next up is Tony's new bus. A late model Riviera Camper with the same pop top as my orange bus. It was nice that his wife Marisol was with him too. Can't get my wife to come out and play VWs very often...
Marks RHD CKD '57 is running better now with an accessory oil cooler so he is happy.
I admit I am not a splitty fan, but Mark's is very nice.
Reagh drove down in his Manx and had a big smile on his face as usual... Wonder how cold he was on the return trip...
Rob was driving Big Blue, his home on wheels. Starting to get too cold in there and night, right Rob??? How about a little word burning stove?
Jerry had a few issues with the speed bumps... Raise that sucker up!
And here it is, Brent's latest and maybe last bus! This is exactly what he wanted, and it looks nice. Tinted windows to hide the goings on inside too!
He said it even came with a clock! Well technically it did!
And we ended the evening at where else? Timmys. Overall it was a great turnout and fun times. Now what should we do next???
