I think this car has a lot of potential and it would be a shame to cut it up so I'm going to give it a chance to find a new loving home. What you get is a 1968 Beetle as shown in the photos. Yes, there is rust but it's not horrible apart from needing the spare tire wheel replaced...and there are some nice solid areas which are normally rusty. Decent tires on it. What you see is what you get. No engine, one fender and no papers. I've probably got the missing seats and will include those.
It rolls freely, someone put some time and money into the brakes replacing all lines and the ebrake cables (haven't pulled the drums to see how they and the shoes look) and the brakes work fine. From what I can see, a previous owner was progressing a mild restoration so I'd bet the transmission works fine...but that's just a guess.
Dash looks pretty good, and complete. Most of the chrome on the car is in excellent condition.
I probably have most of the missing parts in my stash including a rebuildable engine, and can put a package together for additional $$ depending on what all the buyer wants or needs.
SOLD

And the last of them.
I have no doubt I could get a lot more for the individual parts but this car has a good feel to it, worth the effort of saving. I'd rather see it given that second chance but I don't have the time or interest.

It's like looking at pictures of old dogs at the pound. The guilty feeling is strong. I too would love to see this car saved.

looks like Erik ewens old bug. Used to live just a couple blocks from Russ. Good times in that car. Hope it gets saved for sure

There was a tan bug a couple of blocks away from me, but it was definitely a '67.

This poor car is still sitting forlornly, covered in snow in my backyard. Someone needs to save it!

Bump...I'd like this car out of my way. Price reduced to a firm $500; package now includes the fender and tires as shown in the original photos above.
