hoofed it around to a few stores with my calipers looking for something to mount a 914 tach into and found a SS food canister that fit the bill @ wal-mart. removed the glass lid and snap ring and the tach fits right in using the rubber gasket around the 914 tach, drill a hole for a rubber grommet for the wires to run through, a little lube and press in it goes. under ten bucks.

I'm told they fit nicely into early Ghia clocks for an OG in dash look. You could probably use a Bug speedo housing too.
