I was on my way to work ...
Took a month off cause of health issues. 3/4 way though class I started losing my voice. Lungs aren't working proper so lack of oxygen and fatigue was starting to bug me. I get home and wifey called after multiply texts saying she's stuck at woogrove, cars dead and won't start, so back in bus and head off down the parkway. I passed north jinglepot exit and bus starts missing, then sputters, then dies between dunster and doumount.
Lucky, I have tools and parts with me, and it's 5:30-6 ish, so I checked recent problems. I was having reoccurring coil wire popping off. It's fine, so I figure it might be points, so I decide I'll replace whole dustributor that has electronic.
People passing at 120 kmh, dark out, flashlight in mouth, I swapped it out. Started and it ran, but bad. I tried fiddling with timing but it wasn't helping. I reached in and played with the throttle and my cable spring kickdown unit for gas/tranny exploded and falls apart. I'm like, fuck, now I ain't going anywhere, better call the ole lady and try and find a rescue ride. Grab my phone, and it's dead.
So me and Goldberg had to walk, cut down on to doumount, and followed metral to the bay where wife was stuck, some dude tried to jump but was leaving as I was approaching. I tried and to no avail, there was nothing. Nonlights, no power, and couldn't even pull key. Another guy shows up, we try to jump again. Nothing!
Fine, I'm done. Full day of work, mechanic on the Hwy, walk firever, no car, cold, and time to call tow truck. God did they laugh. Buddy showed up, said lemmevtry boosting, I said go for it, with a bunch of doubt, and bam, big spark lights and it started right. Up ... weird
It's now 8 pm.
Bus got towed to Bavarian .. car has battery idiot light in.
Go check this am, no light on, and car is back to normal.
So, I go check on my bus on Monday, to a shop full of laughs, and find out, I ran out of fuel ...... again
