Soooo, I went to Victoria today with a few hot rod friends. Terry picked up another '65 Galaxie to use as a parts car for his '65 Wagon. The "new" car wasn't running, but that was quickly remedied... Pinching off the rusted and leaking rear brakes allowed to fronts to work. Guess what? Low budget line lock! The end result was the above. Terry's neighbours are used to this sort of thing by now...

That's too funny. That's actually a pretty rad car. Gotta love them hot rod guys! B

Always hate seeing a classic going for parts, but then this is a more door...I like that era of Galaxies. This was my winter score...powered by a gigantic 260 right now so no smoking the tires...yet! Attachments:

I hate seeing cars that have survived over 50 years being parted out too. Not visible in the picture is the fact the Galaxie has rust out in every panel and the smoke hides the fact the bottom of the rear quarters are not even there. Is also missing things like the rear bumper and taillights... The perimeter frame looked a bit crispy in places too. Unfortunately full size '60's four door cars are not high on most people's wanted lists and the odds of anyone stepping up to restore it is remote. A shame because this factory red on red LTD hardtop would have been a very nice ride when new...
