Harris Hawk at Cedar Landfill

Today I was up at the Cedar Landfill dumping the last of the Asbestos material from the reno of my parents' future living space, and I had a very cool encounter with the resident Harris Hawk and his handler. Some of you may know that in a past life I have had quite a bit to do with the study of feathered friends, mostly Alcids, but some of them had bigger claws... Anyhow it was pretty special for me because for a moment he even alighted on my gloved hand....which surprised his handler! He liked the truck, but I think he was there for the ground up chicken Asia was giving him
