A few more pictures added for my own interest.  I was able to make contact with the owner, thanks to Don digging deep through the bowels of Facebook and finding the elusive phone number.  Turns out the car was intended to be their "Covid Lockdown project", and they did some tinkering and bought some new parts for it.  Lack of time and progress is prompting the sale, although frustration at setting up the dual carbs may have something to do with it...  Anyway some more detailed pics of the suspect areas will be sent to me tomorrow... Many of you know that I REALLY want to drive a Corvair badly, and this car appears to be a much more viable project in the near term then my car.  I would like to do a full restore on the gold one, and realistically it would best to do a full strip down instead of trying to drive it as is.  But we will see how this pans out...

It does look good in the pictures you have I hope the detailed pics tell a good story. So odd that it's exactly the same car. I hope it works out without too much pain.
I like it. Glad it's not a Corsa or I would be going to Powell River Saturday see it haha.

Sadly, no pics just yet. I am hopeful this one is solid. Not really a fan of Cypress Green, but maybe my opinion will change in person... This car is an original Island car, sold new in Victoria. So that is kind of interesting. It has not been modified in any way either, and you know I like that. We just have to wait and see...

Sadly was not to be. Owner had a change of heart and decided not to sell. Can't really blame him either. Oh well...

Sooo, another week goes by, and another Corvair pops up for sale...





Yet another one in my favourite gold.





Looks reasonable good, although that does look like some rusty action in those roof pillars again.





Interior looks half decent in this example as well.

Yes the paint is faded and it is a project car.  Is not currently running at all.





Lots of original paperwork always makes me happy...





And look at that surprise in the engine compartment.  That is the 140 horsepower four carb version.  Nice!





Garage kept for the last 30 years in storage.  So why have I not bought it yet???


The usual.  This car is located in Tacoma area, and non-essential travel is still not allowed.  Shame because the price is $3500.  US dollars of course.  And the fact it has not run in 30 years and the owner states it still contains all its 30 year old fluids.  I bet that gas smells quite incredible...
