Yup. If there was no pandemic, I would be trying hard to resist taking a look at this one.

I wish what Leno said was true. That there are lots of Corvairs out there and they are reasonably priced. I ain't finding any... Although I did acquire one recently... Reagh did some trading and ended up with this. And very nice it is. Thanks, Reagh. Now if only I get get my hands on the real thing...

Sooo, the Corvair dream for me is fading away. I would have loved to have got my hands on one, but it seems they are now out of reach. All the decent ones are in the States and are unattainable due to both Covid and financial reasons. The prices of advertised Corvairs has significantly increase in the last year, and cars that were formerly around $10,000 are now sitting around $14,000. US Dollars of course. My only hope was finding one local-ish, but this has proven impossible. The few that came up for sale in BC were either not the model I wanted at all, or extremely poor condition. It appears I missed the boat on a reasonably priced car and have been honestly surprised at how few cars even seem to exist out there. Realities of life mean the modest sum I had set aside to buy one, has since dwindled as other expenses have occurred. As much as I hate to say it, I should just stick with my VWs for now and in the future...
It is not all bad, as now I can earmark at least some of those funds into improving my current project, and make the Ghia much better than it was... I think...

Sooo, despite now owning a Corvair, I can't help myself and keep looking at various advertisements for other cars out there. And looky what Reagh spotted for sale in Powell River... It is a 1965 Monza 110 with Powerglide. It is advertised as a driver, that comes with extra parts. No the pictures are not fantastic, but nothing huge is jumping out at me. Other then the missing wheel-arch trims. The interesting thing about this is the spec. This car is Cypress Green with Saddle interior. This car is an EXACT match for what mine looked like when it was new. What are the odds of that? Anyway as you might expect I would like some more info on this. I really want to be driving a Corvair soon, and mine needs too much work to be on the road in the immediate future. And this one is priced at $5100 which is cheaper then many ads I have seen. So why have I not looked at it yet??? Because the owner is not responding to messages. Usually this means they already sold it and are too lazy to remove the ad. Unfortunately a common theme nowadays. Oh well, like I really need more cars, anyway...
