Just as an acknowledgement, our newest member Kieran, owner of Wrapture Customs has stepped up to modify our existing sign for the "Cruise-In" and help out with promotional material, so thanks for that Kieran. I hope all that read this are stoked for the event. It is evolving, but in a good way I think and promises once again to be a fun time with a low-dough feel.....at least with our air cooled brethren. I can't speak for what will happen on the "Euro" side of things but I am excited by it and anxious to see the cool cars that will roll in. It could be quite the interesting juxtaposition, and in a good friendly(accepting) way.

Also Wrapture has many customers with non-Euro cars as well. You will very likely be seeing some of them too at this event. Lets try to all get along, people . And also keep in mind that Kieran now owns his own air-cooled VW, a Fastback! So he will soon be one of us...

Kieran sounds like he respects hard work and creativity despite the platform.
I'm with him. He's inclusive. It allows people to choose what they build, without apologies.
Let's keep the "just joking," Don Rickles style jibes to ourselves. To some people, "them's fighting' words".
John
PS: I'll try to show for the show.

It sounds like Don should take his new daily along! That's only if I can pry the key fob outta Laurie's hand..... If I had less on my plate, would a Saab qualify for "Euro"?

Some may be wondering even after attending the meeting how the "Bavarianfest" name came about, as it was not discussed. TBH I don't know and the posters were made and shown before I, for one, knew they were made(and to be clear, I consider my 'knowing" to be neither here nor there). Rest assured though, WE, the MIACVW gang, are doing our own Cruise In which is now in it's 7th year(to be accurate, I think for the first 2 it was actually the Nanaimo VW Club from whose ashes MIACVW arose) in conjunction with Wrapture's Crews-In of Euro cars which is all being hosted by Bavarian Imports. So "Bavarianfest" fits the bill very well. It is a bit of an experiment and promises to be a great time for everyone. Tell your fiends and hope to see you there
