Thanks to all that attended our “little” Cruise-In today! Holy moly 108 cars at last count! Thanks too to all that donated time and effort to the affair, it wouldn’t have gone so well without the great team effort!
It’s a high bar for next year, but I for one will look forward to it😁. Cheers, Don

It was a great day, a terrific gathering of both air cooled and water cooled folks. Very low key, very informative as well because of the variety of vehicles in attendance. Everyone I talked to without a single detractor was thrilled by the show. Kudos to everyone who put in the hard work for it. Stan

A couple of "atmosphere" pics Brent doing a great job MC'ing the event while Reagh and Rob sort and draw for door prizes. A distance shot....I think it was Stan who mentioned to me that we needed a drone...next time maybe?

I don't even bring a camera when I know Russ will be at an event with his. He does such an awesome job of recording visual images. Plus I learned long ago I'd rather keep looking instead of focusing and fussing. Stan

Sorry I couldn't make it! Looking forward to seeing the photos. Drone laws in Canada just changed. Unfortunately getting shots of events like this from a drone will be very difficult moving forward. Won't be bringing ours down to GCVW this year...

Sooo, it is picture time! Preparations for this event started well before Sunday. In fact this was what the shop looked like the day before. Packed full of air-cooled VWs! And one lowly GTI... Bright and early Sunday morning, after inhaling some of McDonald's finest. Set up the buses first and got my displays ready... And the VWs started arriving in! Quickly the lot began to fill up! Brent wasted no time getting in the spirit. Goldberg probably wondered why his special Westfalia bed was being worn as a hat... The weather was a bit dull, but Mitch's radiant '67 livened things up. A new one for me, was Harley's 1964 Ghia convertible. Nice! I believe this was Shawn's Anthracite Beetle. I think he has done more to it since the last time I saw it... Kieran, the owner of Wrapture Customs, recently acquired this 1970-ish Fasty. Needs a bit-O-work, but he loves it! Sue loves here Beetle too! A nice yellow 1971 standard Beetle... Continued...

This slammed '54 was getting a lot of attention. And so was this split! Several commented it was their favourite. Including my Mom! Terry made the trek down island and displayed his '65. That shade of green (Java), always looks nice. Terry is working on his Oval window Beetle too. This shot was taken before it got REAL busy... More rows of VWs came in just after this... David's 1971 Ghia is a very special car. Just over 30,000 miles on this all original VW. Very nice! This comprehensively restored Super Beetle belongs to one of our long term customers, and he has owned it forever. Beautiful paintwork on this one... One of the Victoria crowd that came up. Sorry, but I am VERY bad at remembering everyone's name... Another Oval, and I just realized I forgot to even look at it. Did that a few times at this event... Didn't forget who owned this one. My '66 that I have had for 20 years now. It was naughty on the way home... Everyone knows Chris and his Coral patina Oval. Glad he was able to make it up island. This Beetle had recent paint, and was for sale to. Forgot to ask the price... A lot of people were checking out this Thing. I liked these tailights better than the stock units. The choice of seating and floors brought many comments as well. I couldn't have survived the trip from Victoria on those hard benches... Continued...
