I found some time to go back out in the garage. Started to piece in some of the replacement metal. I took a big chunk off of one of the qtr panels and cut out a couple of strips of metal I then tweaked them a bit to fit better. Then tacked my patch in and it is looking like it's going to work for me. If I get the time I will get the bumpet bracket welded in soon.

Have been plugging along. I welded in the bumper mount and moved foward and did a patch next to the body mount. this is fitting the foward part of the bumper mount then tack weld it in This is the next area. This is also a 2 layer panel. the old piece and back side Got those welded in still needs some touch up but getting there. it This dent is in the front left and has no back side access. I tried welding a tab on and useing a slide hammer to pop it out. Going to do another here these work pretty good and should finish up nicely.

Well spent another 5.99 on the 66 project. Not sure what a corn head is? is? I don't have a corn head, but thanks to tip from Russ in his Gia thread I will lube my stearing box with it.

Trying to set up a spotter puller with a old arc welder I have but haven't been able to make it work right. Should have bought this. I am still tempted maybe after I'm done with rust repair I may make the jump and just buy one. If you watch some of the videos in use they look amazing.

Your pics seem to have disappeared Hope they will reappear because it sounds like your "plugging" is yielding more good results. Just think if this had been a rusty car, LOL

Just think if this had been a rusty car, LOL Your not missing much in the photos if they don't show back up. Just rusted metal. It is amazing how much time it all takes. I was qouted 150 hours to fix and paint the body. I have at least 40 hours in so far and I will have 200 hours in to it at least for rust repair and this a nice easy restoration. Time or Money? I have more time right now. Saving the money for the shiney bits.

I would buy 10 more just like this one. Some people just do not realize the amount of time and skill that go in to these projects. I wish I posseted both of those. I still feel this is absolutely the finest starting point I could have hoped for in a restoration project. The PO said to me " I should have never taken that car apart". I'm glad he did. He saved it in amazing condition for 30 + years. Beep Beep.

Back at it today for a few hours. I kind of had a headach so I went for a easy patch. Cut a patch and tried to fit it close. Started tacking and more tacking. Dressd the welds and it doesn't look too bad. This area is next More to come
