How long will this last? It's in Toronto... www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1741042" . New brakes, new shifter new battery... runs and drives great, very reliable. rocker panels are rusted out and has normal wear on the body, needs paint. Recently passed Ontario motor vehicle inspection. Being driven every day"

My experiences with flippers have all been unsatisfactory.

I love Splitties, but how can a bus be worth as much as or more than a classic Ferrari or Aston Martin? Nuts!! You could almost buy a house for that, if you didn't want to live in Nanaimo!

Holy! Don't we have to wait till spring, before we raise the prices? I heard of a 78 green westy in Langford if anyone's looking. I'm thinkin of going down next week to have a boo

I have seen that '71 in person. It was a landmark in my neighbourhood where it sat on the boulevard of a quiet side street for years. I always thought of it as an $850 bus! The owner is correct about the tired engine. The rust was not as bad as some, but the jacking points/inner fender structure/sills had the usual rot through. Still can't believe people would pay that much for a rusty old bus...
