It's amazing how creative one can get, and how if you put your mind to it and micromanage all those little issues, your bus can have everything working! Can't wait to see this bus in person. Thanks Don

Don, this is the beauty you plucked from Seattle? You are restoring it for someone else? Didn't realize e you were in the resto business, but you would certainly be my choice for attention to detail.

Don, this is the beauty you plucked from Seattle? You are restoring it for someone else? Didn't realize e you were in the resto business, but you would certainly be my choice for attention to detail. Yes it is Tom…From Everett by way of my friend Steve for accuracy The seller was fielding calls from California while Steve was formulating an offer! Yes, the owner is on this site watching the glacial progress . Laurie could't make up her mind if she wanted to sell her's or not, then the engine started puking oil. At the time it was a logical step. Thanks for the vote of confidence Finally got those pesky side covers on with new plastic mouldings. Of course I had to get some flat nuts and then modify them to take the "metric" screws for securing the covers in place. Gheesh! Got a door window set done today. Not that fun. I tried for 15 minutes to get the stupid Wolfsburg West inner scraper in place until I stopped due to frustration. Luckily I still had an old scraper to compare it to. Interesting finding, the old wire is longer than the aftermarket one. Given that the wire has to fit into existing holes spaced just like the old wire, I went with the old wire in the new rubber piece. Went in no problem. Pretty pissed at WW for supplying cheap parts that don't fit In line at the start... Outta whack at the end…. Here is the clip for securing the rear and top window felt. The aluminum trim from the outer scraper wasn't even relieved or holed to accept these clips in their 2 positions in the rear vertical. I had to drill then Dremel holes where needed. I put the clip in place and pushed the felt channel home after. Otherwise there would be no way I could make sure the clips were properly secured. The window even rolls up ! ------------------------------------------------------------------- This is an addendum to the above window install… To save time, I cut the openings for the rear clips based on the old trim Kinda worked Be sure to put these rear clips into place before the vent window goes in. This help the whole assembly from pushing forward and allows one to manipulate and keep the soft aluminum in its rightful place Found a way to manipulate the push clips into the holes in the doors Keep this top taped and out of the way until the vent is going in Put silicone on the vent and the rubber and this part goes much easier Put the forward felt in the channel with a space for the top felt Be sure to let it hang down a bit. This way the window won't catch it and peel it back Watch to make sure the window goes into the felt's slot(sorry about the bad pic) Attach the window with one bolt and roll it up to facilitate getting the rear of the channel in

Thanks Russ. Your words of encouragement helped to get me to tackling the dreaded doors. Did you get some more 303 on that Fasty dash pad? The Fasty sure looked good in the bright sun!

Oh dear...that's the way it's SUPPOSED to look. I think I need to take off my rear bumper and at least do some paint cosmetics. Good for you Don!
