I should be there at some point, Reagh. I think Russ needs my crappy old truck to transport parts up there because none of his perfect-paint VW's would lower themselves to that duty, LOL!!

Sorry to hear you have to work Mark, we will continue with weekends for a while. Looking forward to seeing you and your work truck again Don. The last time it delivered a bed-load of goodies for Funbugz.

Don't know if a water cooled Jetta constitutes a "cruise" candidate but we're definitely going. Stan

Sooo Don and I are going to be in the Chapters parking lot at noon. If anyone else wants to cruise up at the same time, that is where we will be waiting... See you tomorrow...

Excellent Saturday and Sunday. Really great to catch-up with fellow dubbers, some old and some new. Looking forward to better times this summer. Get your shots everyone! It helps with the Covid virus, but there is still no help for Volksitis, other than a large support group.

Sooo, in fact a few pictures were taken afterall... Reagh and Rob had this line-up outside the shop. When was the last time you saw three running and driving Type 3's in a row??? In the outside display of less then perfect VWs, a couple of later additions I don't think I have photographed before... This old '80's custom was getting a lot of looks. Think Rob S had a dreamy look in his eye when he saw it... Pretty rough underneath unfortunately which is why it is here. I think this bay is starting to collapse a bit. Lots of weight stuffed in the back of this one... The old Project Pootina/ZomBeetle is resting quietly. Given that I now have more "special" projects in my future, it was time to let this one go. Hope Reagh likes his new, not so shiny toy! Inside, Reagh and Rob have managed to find a way to squeeze two more VWs in there. And the shorty's look good together there. As usual there has been a lot of additions since last year, and if you want to see more, then you need to make a trip up to Coombs to see it for yourself. 100 % worth the drive. And next time hopefully more of us will bring our own VW's, myself included...! Thanks Rob and Reagh for a great get together!

Thanks Reagh and Rob for a good time! Yes Russ you totally busted me. That 68 was just begging me to take it home. It was telling me pan's are no big deal and it would be happy waite 3rd in line. It even had a chrome louvered firewall. Mitchy would approve. It was a great day got a little sprinkle of rain on the way up. Had a good drive back home even after that episode of traction loss on the way out.

Yes bummer about that momentary loss of traction... Nice to see someone was actually driving their vintage VW too. Don had to drive his up to haul all my donated junk or (priceless rare spares) depending on your point of view...
