Just a thought. Why don't we break tradition and meet at Southgate Tim's? That will give anyone who wants to the chance to stock up on drinks and treats for the ride south. It also means that we'll be turning right onto the highway and will have a greater probability of being in convoy from the start - no traffic lights.
I agree with Don's suggestion of 07:00.

That sounds like a good suggestion Mark. Maybe meet in the parking area just north of Tim's to be away from any coffee crowd? Is Tim's open at that time in the morning? Seems to me people went over there in the past to get coffee, so maybe I've just answered my own question

Get there a tad early and it is an easy walk to get a coffee fix. RONA has a few good points…wide open, easily visible, and only one light onto the highway. This time to keep together we will either all get thru the light, or the lead VWs will be urged to pull to the side before the big hill so that we don't get fragmented.

So I had the week off work and I got my starter back from A&B. All fixed and it's back in the bus. I have installed my rebuilt distributor and before I got the chance to install the battery, the phone rang and now I'm stuck working on Saltspring until Friday afternoon. It is now looking doubtful that the Split will be running for Victoria. I have Friday night to get it going, which would leave Saturday for insurance and a test drive - and it still needs the tracking to be set up. Not a happy camper.

I am sure there are many seats available for you Mark. Is there anything we out here in computer land can do. I should have some time on Saturday and potentially Friday if you need a hand. LMK

Just to get everything straight, (and this is a question), Mitch and Scooby are rolling thru Nanaimo at 7am to meet up with nobody? If everyone else is only going Sunday, is that still the time you guys are going thru? Is it still your plan to stay the night Mitch? As of now I'm thinking (and wife) that the Saturday is the day for us. Just want to get the times straight.
