Doesn't look all that bad in the pictures. Seems to be mostly original looking. If the rust is not too bad it could be a viable project.

Yes Clay, buy a cover and store it for spring Not me...no plans to restore it myself and I'm doing something wrong if I still have it come spring. It needs to find it's forever home!

Reduced price just for MIACVW forum members... $1700
I really don't have the time or space for this bus right now and would like to have it gone. Still advertised elsewhere for the original, higher price but in the interest of moving it along, $1700 will take it.

Still have it, and getting the sawzall ready. Is anybody interested in any parts? Decent windshield, complete Z bed, cabinets, complete 1800cc Type IV engine with carbs (untested/condition unknown), automatic transmission, doors, hatches, etc.

Aaaaah! I'm torn between the desire to save a bus and the want for parts. Is the windshield original, and is it fogged or cracked at all? I'll bet Brent would be interested in that automatic transmission. That would be a full length Z-Bed (3 seats wide) wouldn't it? I recommend trying to get the engine started to assess it's condition. Hmmm...

Hmmm... Windshield is not fogged, cracked or chipped...looks to be in excellent condition, but...it's a "safevue". I'm thinking that's a replacement window? Z-Bed is the full length, and supposedly the cot, etc is in there too. I haven't even gone digging through everything yet but I did see the net and privacy curtains. Long term plan would be to get the engine fired up, but I don't have room or time to do that right now...so someone could take a chance and maybe get a good deal on it first. No pressure, but one of two things will happen to the bus within the next two months... The original camp stool is in good condition, I see they're going for upwards of $240 USD...open to offers on that.

I thought the current price was around $100, but a quick look at theSamba shows prices are way up. I remember when I first set eyes on the stool that came with my Dad's bus in the 70s, I thought it was something the PO had added himself. Funny things that we've come to love. My '74 was missing one, however through a chance happening a friend mentioned their father still had one from a bus he sold years ago and would I like it!

Don't cut it up! Somebody needs to save this bus. (But if you do part it out I'm interested in the front beam if it's solid.)

Originally thought "Oh yeah, $40 or $50 or thereabouts" until I went looking. Even repros are $200 USD and up...had no idea! I don't expect to get $200 USD (or Cdn) for this though.
