There may have been another stool for 72 and under but this style is correct for the 73-79 buses (and came in my '74). I'm sure someone was very appreciative of your generosity!

Btw, in your ad in Used Nanaimo, you say thecstool is from 73 and later ... It's actually 73 & earlier I just gave one away to a great project .. Little bit of keyboard warrior going on here. We all have opinions, but the Bus Clay's selling here is a 74 so I don't see why the stool would be from a 73 and earlier. In my take, considering the colour and type of the stool's fabric, I would have to say Clay is closer to the mark. From what I have seen most stools used in 73 and earlier are the mustard yellow vinyl fabric. In 74 when Westfalia started putting double beds up top they went with a change to the plaid fabric, but still the basic layout below (w.r.t. the sink and seats). In 1974-75 the rear seat was full width. In 76 the stove and/or icebox migrated to the LHS of the vehicle and I think at this point the stool became a wooden sided box sitting in between the front seats. So, in my opinion the stool here would most likely be from exactly the vehicle Clay has, or a 75. I'm sure someone was very appreciative of your generosity! Only the recipient and giver will ever know.... Sure be nice to see info on this "great project" posted up here. But that would mean going thru the hassle of signing in a posting pics...

that was me, I wasn't trying to be a keyboard warrior, I believe Dons correct, didn't sign in cause I'd already made the comment, accidentally as a guest, wouldn't let me use my name, as a guest, and frankly didn't feel like going thru the whole process of signing in and redoing everything . Sorry for any confusion, Guess I should of kept my mouth shut and sent an email saying ad should read 75 and "earlier". Me bad
Merry Christmas everyone

I'm going by the various aftermarket retailers who list that style bench as '73-'79. I'm by no means well educated in Bus or Westfalia stuffs.

Thanks
Going down to the storage unit to see about getting the '70 Cutlass started and driving, bringing it home next weekend. Waiting to find out if the sale on my '72 Cutlass is falling through, which I'm kind of hoping for, as I'll swap the strong 350 from the '72 for the aenemic 260 in the new car. What's a muscle car without some muscle under the hood???
I should be taking the sawzall to that parts car on Sunday, will start by removing the posts for you.

Don't really need one...sale on the '72 fell apart which works out great for me. Is the engine an Olds or is it Chev/GM 350? Got the 260 fired up this morning, runs good so will be fine in the '72.
