I thought this might be a fun thread. Here's what I collect, repair, trade, hunt, buy, and sell. The fun is equally divided by the hunt, repair and save from becoming melted down into cheap chinese junk. 1948 Coleman 242B lantern. "Solus" Euro style brass camping stove 1948 Lister cold start diesel engine. Stan

shhhhhhh don't say that out too loudly, many will need time to process the concept. I've had 15 years of non-vw related activities to process and I'm fine with it, really I am, honest................ Stan

Hey Stan, maybe you can identify some things for me. These items were dropped off by my Aunt and once belonged to my Uncle. Brent identified some Coleman parts there, but what is the biggest item and how old is it???
Any ideas???

Nice Lister diesel. I have a medium size collection of 60s vintage air cooled Listers, and even run one regularly to power my off the grid workshop. Also, when I was a kid my friend's dad had a double ender built in 1922, and powered by a two cyl Easthope. We took quite a few trips around the local waters in it.

Russ...The item on the top left is a Coleman lantern valve, maybe from a model 200. The item on the top right is a Coleman pump plunger for maybe a model 200 lantern. The biggest item is a kerosene tank and burner from a small euro camping stove, maybe Optimus 111. The item on the bottom right is the valve from a Coleman single burner backpacking stove, maybe a model 400.
I'd love to make you an offer on the tank and burner! Stan

68iiibuggy....I'd love to see some of your aircooled Listers. They make great generator power plants. And they don't need come-alongs and "Egyption style" rollers to move them around! Stan

You can make me an offer on the tank thingy if you like, Stan. I know I won't be using it for anything... The Coleman stove I use when I went camping was probably from the '70s and was a propane unit which I like. Buried somewhere in the basement....
