Brent, they're just like anything else, they're worth whatever someone is willing to pay for them. There are guys who live in Florida who have never seen a Coleman model 200 lantern and they pay upwards of $75 for one. We we see a dozen a week if we look hard enough and refuse to pay more than $10 for one and it had better be in perfect shape. Stan

Now for something totally different. I'm not into anything old, other than VWs. <object width="420" height="315"><param name="movie" value="//www.youtube.com/v/50nJ8UkOGwg?version=3&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="//www.youtube.com/v/50nJ8UkOGwg?version=3&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object> I have been sailing racing dinghies since I was 10 years old. I have been kayaking since I was a little kid. I used to paddle white water, surf kayaks off the North East of England and play akayak polo. The kids have slowed down my watersports though. Last year I started cycling. At the beginning of September I cycled from Stanley Park to Whistler in the Gran Fondo. It was an amazing day - 122km, 4500 riders and I finished in 4 hours and 53 minutes. They even had beer at the finish line.... What more can you ask?! Attachments:

Stan made mention of when and where is the next meeting. We had talked about the 28th of October, likely a garage stop this time at my place. Further info will be posted later this week...

I have been sailing racing dinghies since I was 10 years old. I have a Laser at the moment and love nothing better than a high speed blast in a good blow. - That's a strong wind for the uninformed.... That video reminds me of my ski racing days where I would get going so fast (90 kph +?) that I was "right on the edge" of disaster and a split second of inattention would result in long hospital stays, lots of pain etc. etc. Life on the edge got to be somewhat addictive but isn't a recipe for a long, healthy life I'm afraid. I used to teach kids who played hockey "on the edge" and would come to me for help after missing lots of school due to hospital stays. I remember one 15 year old who told me he had, in the past 3 years broken his ankle, one wrist, one arm and his collar bone a couple of times but that he was OK cause he healed up well. I told him to come back to see me when he was 40 and tell me how well he felt. Stan

an lol @ Mark. Glad he clarified what a good blow was. and back at Stan. I'm a coleman guy myself. We need to talk I thought I always knew what a "good blow" was, but I guess I need some re-education! Brent, I'd estimate I have around 30 or so lanterns and lamps with maybe 20 or so stoves (all single burners). I try to keep the collection down to one good example of each genre but haven't been very good at that, especially with the 242/247/249 series because I love the kero burning lanterns and stoves. I've got lots of "parts lanterns" but they seem to end up being restored and then I haven't got any parts anymore so I have to buy more "parts lanterns" etc etc etc. I can quit collecting them anytime, really I can, yup no problem, no worries..... I believe I have a model 4 camp stove that needs help. Round bronze painted tank, legs swing to lock top for transport. Wrong tank though, they have slightly different tube lengths, I believe. Plus it doesn't burn right, grrrrr. Wait till Rob see's this thread, he'll be chiming in. We wandered into a fishing shop in Princeton, holy collection in that guys rafters, and nothing was for sale.
