What a good wash will do From what I can tell this worked. I will see when I install them Got the flooring pretty much in. Put some vinyl in between the seats because one piece of green carpet just didn't make sense

I missed the scenery at the Qualicum Show so that I could instead torture myself at my shop. I need to get this thing done and the more fun I have the more likely I will be able to put off spending the necessary time… I have found this mixing and matching of cabinets to be slightly problematic as nothing seems to line up easily. But it is starting to look like something inside I hit a bit of a snag when it came to the rear seat upholstery. I hadn't really looked at that closely, but the seats that were in it were a little faded. Well, that just wouldn't do, especially considering the ones I bought with the interior last Volksfest were much better. Now for the snag part…Turns out the wood back that one looks at when the rear hatch is open(i.e. the back of the seat) was good on the faded upholstery and water stained on the good upholstery. Ack! So, in true OCD fashion I couldn't let it go and had to pull an old switcheroo. Here is the comparison So many staples…and this is less than half of them I actually had on hand what look to be an exact match to the original staples….thanks Slegg Matching the original, maybe with a little less precision But just as the original they all get hidden by fabric tape…..probably the only time I have ever used hockey tape, lol, but it looks just like the original First without Then with The last of the laminate I had to fix was a hole in the base, just below the fuse box. Really not a big enough hole to fill, but just cover.. Cut and remove the piece Glue a new piece in there and as usual clamp and leave

lookin great Don! Curious though - where did you get the laminate from? Thanks Paul. You can see on page 2 where I scavenged the laminate from an old panel I had. Pretty hard to match this stuff from anything modern. Here is the finished product. Not perfect, but when in situ hardly noticeable Put the seat belts in. Retractors from CIP1. Had to monkey with them a bit to make sure the swivel seat worked, but managed to get 1/8th clearance Here is why the seat fabric swap had to happen…which do you like better Had to plug the holes in the electric fuse box, so used the plug trick again, just had to modify the washers a bit This looks ugly so Westfalia had a trim piece One white keeper plug made from one not meant for this particular purpose, and ta da! Rear seat in, along with seat belts for the kiddies. To think of all the miles I did in the back of the family Westy without a thought of seat belts

I was always a bit surprised how unfinished the back of the rear bench appeared from the factory, yours looks better than ever. Now I need to consider tidying up my interior
