There are a lot of people using Clecos on thesamba to hold their panels in place. I don't know what they cost and you do need the proper pliers, but they appear to do a great job of holding panels in place whilst you tack them into position.

Used them on an airplane, but never a bus. That's a good call. B

I've been an aviation nut for my whole life. I've had lots of buddies that built experimental aircraft and kit planes. I've never had the budget to do my own though.

Deja Vu. Your bus and my clients have the rust in the same places. Figured i would check this build out since you mentioned it. If you want any pointers, links to get parts feel free to hit me up (ideally on the business email - since I check that very often) and I will see what I can do. The repop metal on these are a nightmare to find (good quality that is) compared to 55-67 buses or even 68-73's.
PS - Could you email exactly what you would like to replace with better quality used.

I'll need to build some confidence, or find a way of fooling myself into thinking I have the skills it takes. B I like this attitude... you can do it! Hear the peanut gallery chant....Byron, Byron, Byron!

I don't know about everyone else, but I am certainly in need of many of the same pieces of metal for my Betsy, as well as the confidence boosting cheers from the peanut gallery! Stan

There are a few out there. When I was a kid, i used to hang out with an old guy at our local airport. He made a 3/4 scale P51 Mustang with a VW Engine. Pretty fn cool! B
