I could go on about how smooth the job went but it wasn't smooth it took me days another job that didn't really need to be done really just needed to replace the missed nut better now but I have added some compilations things got tight still need some fine tuning drives real good now though got my car back. T

Welded some new bumper brackets in my coral beetle and painted the engine compartment then test fitted the bumper and fenders the rest of the car is still rough Don't get too excited the rest of the car is crap I have a 36hp to put in and wanted the engine compartment finished.

That engine bay looks almost too good to put an engine into! If you're comparing relatively, then the rest of the car must be pretty nice!

It is really a shame to cover up the nice paint with tar boards added the felts for sound proofing
added a bowden tube and this 36hp

There is something special about the old 36hp engines. They seem smoother and quieter for some reason...

terry, how have you got your axel boots clocked, the pic looks like 12 o clock, should be at 3 and 9 o clock. back end is looking nice.

I was told to clock them at half way between 12 and 3 and 9 and 12. Always worked for me. I was told to squish them a bit before doing up the clamps too

I sold my RV and put the plate on my Coral Bug I had always wanted to drive an oval and this was my chance. Never had this insured or licensed in the 30+ years I have owned it.It has new brakes tires and steering is tight. I have so far driven it down Miracle Beach to the end of Seaview a couple times to the grocery store and one stretch of Island Highway where I got it up to 50mph. I was hanging on with that boat on the top and those skinny brakes I was not making any quick stops.
