confusing Don? the 9 digit number is cast in and is indeed a type 2 part # but the stamped # under the gen stand is an application or engine code and ae is designated for a type 1. this case is a early universal case (not type3 or autostick). early because in 72 iirc they updated to 8mm studs. some quick indicators of a dual port case are long 8mm case stud behind the fuel pump, the captive nut, larger oil pick up tube and of course dual relief. as 41 is the best alloy mix the factory made (strongest/lightest). thought you had a 78mm crank Terry ?

The crank was cooked so I had Thompson's balance the rotating parts and fit the flywheel on the 78.8 crank I have now also the spigots on this motor are 90mmm.

I guess I am keeping it the guy never showed up and now I have it all pulled apart everything looking good but it have not been align bored before. I am thinking to build a narrow 6 volt dual port small displacement motor to throw into my ovals and save the 36hp motors. I wonder if Clay still has that counter weighted 40hp crank? I also got the green machine cleaned up and brakes valves adjusted wheels back on and ready to go. I am still going to pull the front drums and check and grease the front brakes and bearings. I did all that to the Coral oval also and it is running really good hope to put more than 50 miles on that this year. I have been doing work on my Studebaker also painting and brake work. You can see some of that right here. forums.aaca.org/topic/290507-1939-studebaker-champion-build/#comment-2336528

This is a test missing the sound any tips on getting video with sound using Imgur? I had to phone HTRob for a recent tutorial. His suggestion of instead of going to "your Images", go to "New Post" on the top left of the home page. It took me a few times to look around the screen before I found the sound button stuff. Have a look, and phone Rob if you have trouble , LOL!

Some pictures of the Studebaker I am working on I have the back doors on now and the windows in. Is it going to make a showing at the Father's Day Show in Qualicum? That would be cool!
