I started to bang the dents out of this one lets call it fender 11 You notice that it has the same dimples in the bucket as Clay's fenders one and two, I used a brass hammer and pounded it straight down into a rubber mat couple strikes and it was near perfect.

I would never have guessed that you can get a dent like that to come out so easily. Or rather, I would never have guessed someone could make it look so easy....

Fender twelve one that I got from Russ. This was tough the bucket is smacked in about3/16th inch. This fender was repaired with a skim coat of kitty hair and bondo up to 3/16 inch deep from the signal light all the way down and the bucket to bottom corner to fill the void and catch a rust hole on the bottom edge .

Since you have more fenders then VWs, you need to buy more VWs. Simple really...

Well I have been busy I do now have fender one and two painted I will try and catch you up on my progress. Here is that weld from the inside notice I burned a hole that will also need repair. Inside signal light hole filler. Outside This is how I tried to pound out the headlight bucket. Before. After. I split the seam at the bucket. so I tacked it and ground it. Did some other small welds. Slapped on some etch primer with a brush. Sprayed some epoxy and high fill urethane prime. Still needs some filler and more prep work. The bucket edge is too shallow to hold the rubber gasket so I would have to glue it down when installing the headlight but I think the headlight will hide that.

This will need more work. Put a heavy coat of primer I know there is a lot more sanding for this fender. The wire tube broke of during the process I wish that I had broken off earlier because it was bent out of alignment anyway and once it was gone I could get into some hard to get areas. This fender is now ready for prep for paint.
