Got 'em new in Port Alberni. If you know how long the links need to be, I could cut 'em down and thread them on the lathe for T3 length.

cool.you can cut a left hand thread. Nope. I'd shorten them from the right-hand thread end

Rob has been steadily working away on getting the Fasty roadworthy. And he is almost there! Tires are on the agenda, as the car came with mismatched rims. These "new" rims and tires look suspiciously familiar... Yup, those are the stock rims off of Reagh's Notchback. They will tide Rob over for now until he decides if Turtlebacks are really in his future... But look at that! Plated and ready for action! Hope the full on test drive is successful. Aren't there always teething problems with a new build??? Usually something for me, anyways...

Thanks for posting the pictures Russ!! Yes the teething problems are trying to get these Empi 34's set up correctly aaarrrggg. I am also thinking the issue of lack of power in 3rd and 4th gear could be the aftermarket 009 dizzy. I would like to swap to a vacuum advance but I cant seem to find one here but I will keep looking. More tinkering today and hopefully soon I will be driving down the hwy with a tuned reliable fasty!!! A man can dream hahahaha

You really can't find one in your stash? If you can't, then I will see if something is suitable lying around here...

I didnt look today but I will be on it tomorrow. I discovered the lack of power... # 3 piston wasnt firing either well or at all hahahahahaaha. I took it for a nice drive after discovering that and now its time to re time and redo the carbs with 4 cylinders working. Another issue I found with the drive is the PO must have tightened up the steering box adjusting screw because holy smolly its tight, it doesnt turn it kinda jerks side to side. One more thing to experiment on.

The important thing is to make sure it turns in BOTH directions. Ask me how I know. Stan

I measured the front wheels center to center front and back and they are really close. The reason I think the PO adjusted the steering box is when I turn a corner if I let go of the steering wheel it will just keep turning hahahaha I have to manually turn it back straight.
How do you know Stan??
